CAROL GRETTER, AIA, LEED AP

Founder, president and owner, Carol Gretter is responsible for the successful day-to-day operation of the Eleven of Eleven team.

Known for her solution-oriented approach, Carol brings over 20 years of in-depth project experience to her work. She has a background in large-scale complex projects: land development, site analysis, and multi-use educational buildings, as well as intimate detail-oriented designs, specialty classrooms, performance spaces, and offices.

She has written curriculum and provided training for K-12 teachers in addition to architecture and design professionals. The combination of being a practicing architect and teaching in a variety of public and private classrooms, gives Carol unique insights when designing learning environments for schools and institutions.

 

CAROLINE EMERSON, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Caroline is an architect who has worked at every scale, from master-planning strategies to designing custom furniture. In addition to her professional experience in commercial, residential, institutional, and urban design, Caroline helped construct a school in the Himalayas while studying abroad in India. She’s maintained her relationship with academia as an adjunct professor at the New York Institute of Technology, where she teaches students about traditional architectural graphic standards and how to produce modern construction drawings using Revit.

Caroline holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia. She is a registered architect licensed in New York.

 

NADIA ISLAM

As a junior designer, Nadia works with consultants, vendors and clients to design, draw, coordinate and specify projects. Her responsibilities include researching and understanding materials and products to incorporate them appropriately into the designs.

Nadia earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University with a Design Commend for her Thesis. She has also participated in the preparation, design and curation of exhibitions at School of Architecture, such as the Wats:on Festival and Menagerie: B.A. & B.Arch Graduating Exhibition.

 

MINH-ANH ON

As a member of the Eleven of Eleven team, Anh’s primary roles are in coordination and communication. She oversees arranging packages and presentations, creating color palettes and choosing fabrics and upholsteries. She incorporates her background in studio arts and her experiences shooting and editing visual media as the firm’s photographer and social media curator. Her responsibilities also include maintaining client, contractor, and vendor relationships as the public relations coordinator.

During her time studying at the University of Virginia, Anh represented New Media Arts in two solo shows, two group shows, and was the first of her department to be awarded the Mountain Lake Biological Station Student Art Fellowship, a two-week residency sponsored by UVA’s Art and Biology departments.
